At AfricaSafariReservation.com, operated by Event Connect LLC, we understand that travel plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be transparent, fair, and aligned with international travel standards.

1. Booking Deposit & Payment Terms

  • A 30%–40% deposit is required to confirm most safari and Kilimanjaro bookings.
  • Full balance is typically due 45–60 days prior to arrival.
  • For bookings made within 45 days of travel, full payment is required at confirmation.
  • Certain luxury lodges or special permits may require higher upfront deposits.

All payments are processed securely through approved international payment providers.

2. Cancellation Policy (Safari & Trekking Packages)

Refunds are based on written cancellation notice received by email.

  • 60+ days before arrival: 90% refund (minus transaction fees)
  • 45–59 days before arrival: 75% refund
  • 30–44 days before arrival: 50% refund
  • 15–29 days before arrival: 25% refund
  • 0–14 days before arrival: No refund

Refunds are subject to lodge, park, and supplier cancellation terms, which may vary in peak season.

3. Kilimanjaro & Trekking Refunds

  • 60+ days: 80% refund
  • 30–59 days: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 days: No refund

Park fees already paid to TANAPA are non-refundable once issued.

4. Zanzibar Extensions & Domestic Flights

  • Domestic flights are typically non-refundable once ticketed.
  • Beach resorts may apply 30–100% cancellation penalties depending on season.

Specific terms are communicated before final payment.

5. Force Majeure

No refunds are issued for events beyond our control, including government restrictions, natural disasters, political unrest, airline cancellations, pandemics, or severe weather. We will always work to reschedule or offer travel credit where possible.

6. Travel Insurance

All guests are required to carry comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, emergency medical expenses, and travel delays.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14–30 business days, minus bank or processing fees, and refunded to the original payment method where possible.
